Vinyl lined pool leak testing in Ferny Grove

Vinyl lined pool leak testing in Ferny Grove

This morning we attended to a a reported leaking vinyl lined pool in Ferny Grove. We previously attended a leak in the vinyl where it meets the steps in February. This was the site of a previous leak which was puttied.

We used our Leaktrac 2400 to test the integrity of the vinyl liner , we initially directed it to the previous puttied site which gave some indication. We entered the pool and dye tested and found no obvious leak sites. We applied further epoxy putty to the site .

We then tested the remainder of the vinyl liner which did not direct us to any leaks.

We inspected the skimmer box and face, return jets, light and plugged solar jet.

Finally we pressure tested both the suction and return lines which held pressure.

We phoned our client and advised of the testing and the results.

Our client will monitor and advise. Other potential leaks are cracked tiles, gaps in grout and gaps where the vinyl bead meets the steps. These can take a lot of time to examine and dye test these areas.
