15 Mar Pebblecrete swimming pool leak detection in Paddington
This morning we returned to a reported leaking pebblecrete swimming pool in Paddington. We attended a couple of weeks earlier and identified a leaking return line which we resolved by plugging the returns and redirecting the return back through the water feature.
Our client advised the pool was still leaking and the water had stabilised at the bottom of the skimmer box for over a week.
We rechecked our previous testing which was sound which included the skimmer box, return line plugs and the replaced hydrostatic valve.
We tested the solar return line which held pressure, our licensed plumber accessed the rear of the water feature and we tested this line which did not hold pressure.
We inspected the pebblecrete interior and detected a structural crack which was drawing dye.
We applied epoxy putty to the crack.
We checked the previously plugged solar suction lines, we removed the old plugs and replaced them
We provided our client a detailed update with a plan going forward.
