We then attended to another leaking pebblelcrete swimming pool this time in Chambers Flat. We noted the water was below the bottom of the skimmer boxes. Our client believed it was a leaking hydrostatic valve and had attempted to change it himself.

We pressure tested the return line which compressed 7 (seven) return jets and found this line Not to be hold pressure, we inspected all the return jets and could hear clearly the sound go air bubbling away from behind a return jet under the concrete path.

We got our client’s wife to inspect as well as having a FaceTime with our client talking through our findings.

We then entered the pool and removed both light fittings, inspecting and dye testing where the cable penetrates the shell.

We then removed the new hydrostatic valve, applied thread tape and reinstalled our clients new hydrostatic valve. We dye tested it upon completion.

We discussed repair options with our client and gave him some tips to complete the repair himself, thus saving him a fair bit of money.
