13 Mar Concealed water leak detection in Fig Tree Pocket
This morning we attended to a reported concealed water leak in Fig Tree Pocket, a water meter test revealed a leak of 120 litres per day, which is miniscual in nature. We were directed to a front garden bed which had been the subject of a previous leak and wetness was seen at the lower section.
We isolated all services which included the irrigation system which was located nearby.
A pressure test failed , we introduction compressed air with no success, we introduced tracer gas and obtained a high gas reading coming from under the patio tiles close to the front rendered fence.
We referred our client to another leak detector who may be able to re run the main feed into the house avoiding the costs of excavation and reinstatement of tiles, front fence and retaining wall.
