This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Capalaba.
Our client detailed his observations before we tested the multi port valve before using a hydrophone microphone to test all penetrations.
We tested the concealed plumbing and noted the suction line was secure but the return line was not.
To complicate matters all new concrete had just been poured all the way around the pool.
We entered the pool and checked the main drain which was full of debris. We dye tested and noted the hydrostatic valve was ajar and wedged opened. This is a definite leak site.
We cleaned out the drain before removing and replacing the hydrostatic valve before re dye testing.

We discussed our finding with a client who would top the pool up and conduct a bucket test to determine whether the pool leak is now resolved.
