Leaking return pipe detected and rectified in a Eatons Hills swimming pool

This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Eatons Hills. We tested the multi port valve before pressure testing the pipework. The suction line held pressure, however the return line did not. We plugged the return jets and redirected the water back into the pool via the water feature. This is by far the most economical way to resolve the leak. We entered the pool and inspected the main drain. As the hydrostatic valve had not been changed in 14 years we replaced the hydrostatic valve. The thread of the valve snapped in the thread of the main drain, after removing the thread we replaced it with a new hydrostatic valve.
We talked through the findings with our client.
