We then travelled to a reported leaking tiled pool in Sunnybank Hills. Our client advised of a dramatic water loss over a 24 hour period. This is nearly always caused by a failed hydrostatic valve.
We noted the water level was well below the bottom of the skimmer box and settled along a return jet and lights.

We pressure tested all the concealed plumbing and identified a solar return provision was not holding pressure. We installed a plug into the disused line.

All other lines held pressure.

We then entered the pool and replaced the hydrostatic valve before inspecting the return jets, solar suction and return jets and lights .

The hydrostatic valve had seen better days as the top o ring had almost worn away.
