Fibreglass swimming pool leak testing in Redland Bay

Fibreglass swimming pool leak testing in Redland Bay

This morning we attended to a reported leaking newly installed fibreglass pool in Redland Ba. Our clients advised the water level goes to the bottom of the skimmer box and stabilises.
We checked and dye tested the skimmer box and face.
We noted the hydrostatic valve on the floor of the pool appeared slightly raised.
We entered the pool confirming the same, noting debris caught in the valve itself. Dye testing confirming the hydrostatic valve is leaking.
We attempted to remove the valve with our engineered removal tool without success. We attempted to reset the valve but further dye testing showed the valve still leaking.
Our client advised he has sikaflexed the valve in place.
We pressure tested all the concealed plumbing namely the suction, return , solar suction and solar return lines all of which held pressure.

We suggested our client reach out to the pool provider to arrange for the leaking hydrostatic valve to be replaced.
