Swimming pool leak detection and repair in Sunnybank

This morning we attended to a reported sudden water loss in a large swimming pool in Sunnybank. Our client claimed she lost around 200mm over night.
We tested the multi port valve before hydrophone microphone the skimmer boxes, return jets, lights and main drain including hydrostatic valve.
Sudden water loss of this nature over night is generally a hydrostatic valve failure. We confirmed the valve had not been replaced since they moved in 2009. Hydrostatic valves ought be changed over every 5-7 years.
We entered the pool and inspected and replaced the hydrostatic valve before re dye testing.
We then removed the light fittings and dye tested where the cable penetrates the housing, one of the light cables was leaking. We applied epoxy putty around the light cable before re dye testing.
We inspected the return jets internals before setting up a bucket test and discussing our findings with our client.
