This morning we attended to a reported fibreglass swimming pool leak in Ashmore.
We hydrophoned tested the skimmer, main drain and return jets. We noted the skimmer had been previously repaired, we checked the putty and re dye tested.
We checked the return jets internals with a CCTV camera
We then pressure tested the suction and return lines , the suction held pressure, the return line did not.
We entered the pool and inspected, dye tested and replaced the original hydrostatic valve.
The valve was prized ajar with a rock pushing on the spring, we then inspected some imperfections on the fibreglass floor which included a small crack. We dye tested and puttied over the crack.
Our client would top up the pool and monitor with a plan to plug the return jets if the water loss continues.
