Concealed water leak detection in Edens Landings

Concealed water leak detection in Edens Landings

We then attended to a reported concealed water leak in Edens Landings, our client contacted us a couple of weeks ago at which time we referred her to her insurance company. The insurance company sent out a leak detector who marked a spot on the concrete driveway indicating the leak site. We conducted a water meter test which revealed a leak of 2700 litres per day on they step elevated block.
We introduced compressed air and tracer gas over the nominated leak site which gave no indications. We drilled a number of pilot holes in the concrete drive all without success. We then eventually located a a high gas reading close to the retaining wall and sewer inspection opening at a distance of around 4 metres away from the site marked. Our client confirmed the sewer line was 3 metres deep and given our gas reading of the leaking water supply pipe was close to the sewer, we felt our client would save a lot more money by getting a plumber with an excavator to complete the repair.
