This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Ormiston, we tested the pump filtration before hydrophone and dye testing all the penetrations including the skimmer, returns x 3, light, spa suction x 2, spa returns x 4, blower holes and main drain including hydrostatic valve.
We then tested all possible concealed plumbing which included the suction, return lines and sap suction line.
The spa suction line was not holding any pressure at all. We introduced tracer gas to identify a high gas reading coming from the edge of the spa. Being mindful of costs after discussion with our client we plugged the spa suction lines before entering the pool and removing the light bracket and dye testing the light cable, we puttied over a void.
We then inspected and dye tested the main drain including the hydrostatic valve. We removed and replaced the hydrostatic valve which was problematic. Closer examination of the valve identified it was seized shut.

We walked thru all our testing with our client.
