This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Eaton Hills.
After getting the background from our client we set about conducting a series of tests which included hydrophone microphone testing of the penetrations which detected a sound of running water in the main drain. We entered the pool and dye tested and replaced the 50mm hydrostatic valve.
We then located a structural crack on the wall of the pool which was drawing dye. We applied epoxy putty bead to the entire structural crack before re dye testing.
We then pressure tested the concealed plumbing and solar hearing provisions before finding a solar suction line was not secure. We simply plugged the unused solar heating lines as the most cost effective remedy going forward.
Our client was on site and briefed throughout the process.
