28 Aug Acreage concealed water leak detection and repair in Capalaba
This morning we attended to a reported concealed water leak on acreage in Capalaba. A water meter test revealed a leak of 1728 litres per day, a pressure test failed. After tracing the line we introduced a combination of compressed air and tracer gas before we located a leak under concrete at the rear of the house. We removed a section of concrete to locate the leak before, our licensed plumber completed the repair before we tested the line to find it was still leaking. We recommenced the leak detection process before we found a second leak in a garden bed on the there side of the house.
This leak was fixed then we tested the line to find it all secure.
We backfilled with sand before reinstating both leak sites.
