This morning we attended to a leaking fibreglass pool in Arana Hills, we inspected the skimmer box and noted there was a couple of imperfections/cracks. We dye tested then applied expoy putty.
We then pressure tested the return line concealed plumbing which was secure. We were unable to test the suction line. We then used a hydrophone to check the skimmer return jets and main drain.
We then entered the pool and examined the main drain noting a lot of cracks at the top of the drain. We dye these cracks and located a site which was drawing in dye. We applied epoxy putty bead before replacing the original hydrostatic valve which was well and truly overdue.
