This morning we attended to a reported concealed water leak in Cleveland. A water meter test revealed a leak of 360 litres per day. Our client has had previous leaks and his property has a lot of palm trees which can be problematic with water pipe.

We conducted a series of tests which included compressed air and tracer gas and located the leak at the base of an outside tap nestled below a large palm tree.
We had to excavate down cutting through the root system before locating a failed 25mm “T” piece.

Our licenced plumber completed the repair before we tested the repair, then pressure tested the whole line to find it secure.

We backfilled with sand before reinstating the garden.
