We then attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Mt Cotton. We were directed to a damaged return pipe which our licenced plumber repaired.
We pressure tested the suction and return lines which both held pressure. We used a hydrophone microphone to check the main drain which appeared to be filled top with concrete or pebblecrete. We entered the pool to see the majority of the main drain was full with over spray of pebblecrete. The main drain was partly visible and when dye tested, dye was seen escaping.
We carefully removed the pebblecrete in the drain to locate the original hydrostatic valve. We replaced the valve and puttied over the leaking main drain. We re dye tested the drain which appears to be secure.
We inspected the return jets and the skimmer box and finally the multi port valve on the sand filter.
