Heat pump prime issue detected and resolved in Norman Park

This morning we attended to a reported heat pump prime issue in Norman Park, upon arrival we noted the heat pump was situated at least 2 metres higher than the pool. Our client having purchased the heat pump had been unable to get it to prime.
We conducted a pressure test on the line to identified a leak in a compression fitting in the suction line. Our licenced plumber completed the repair, we retested the line to find another damaged 90 degree fitting in the same line. Again this was repaired. We pressure tested the line a 3rd time to find the line now secure. Our client requested we remove two further compression fittings in the line and repair a damaged pipe in the heat pump return. After completing all the repairs and inspecting the non return valves we then primed the line and noted the pump operating correctly and fully primed. Ideally the heat pump should be on the same level as the pool.
