This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Alexandra Hills. We noted on arrival of a previous repaired structural crack. We conducted a series of tests which included using a hydrophone microphone, dye testing, pressure testing on concealed plumbing. We identified the return line was not holding pressure, with the assiatnce of tracer gas we located the leak site to be behind the second return jet. We marked the location for the owner to complete the repair. We then entered the pool and replaced the hydrostatic valve and dye tested the puttied structural crack which was leaking at different parts of the crack. We reapplied more epoxy to the leak sites before re dye testing. We discussed our findings with our client and provided him with a contractor who could quote for a permanent fix to the structural crack.
