This morning we attended to a concealed water leak in MacDowell, a water meter test revealed a leak of 4320 litres per day, a pressure test failed.
After tracing the we introduced compressed air to locate the general vicinity to be under concrete near the laundry. We then drilled a number of pilot holes, introduced tracer gas before honing in on the leak site.
We removed a section of concrete before finding the leak being a damaged 20mm copper pipe in the concrete.
Our licensed plumber completed the repair before he tested the repair then the whole line to find it secure. We backfilled with sand before replacing the concrete section and cleaned the site.

Trevor and Sam attended my property to detect and repair an underground water pipe leak. They were very professional and experienced with their work. They located the water leak under the concrete slab exactly where it was, using various radar tool and equipment. Once Sam identified the location of the possible leak, Trevor seconded it by doing his own verification. This allow them to neatly cut the concrete slab with precision, minimising any destructive work and damages. They replaced the faulty joints and retested the new connection with compressed air. They were also very meticulous in their work, testing and retesting several times to make sure there is no leak to the new joint, before backfilling it. Definitely gave me great confidence through the entire process, as their experience shows they know what they are doing. Well done guys. Great job!
