This morning we attended to a reported leaking fibreglass pool in Seventeen Mile Rock. We first reviewed the background information provided the client then went about conducting a series of tests which included checking the waste line on the cartridge filter before pressure testing all possible concealed plumbing. We then entered the pool noting the fibreglass is at its end of line. We inspected, dye tested and replaced the 50m hydrostatic valve noting the fibreglass floor was quite spongy around the main drain. Upon further inspection of the valve we noted the bottom “O” ring was protruding thus would have been the cause of the leak. We inspected the skimmer box noting there was some gaps and some slight cracking which we puttied over.
