House & Swimming Pool Leak detection in Holland Park (Brisbane)

House & Swimming Pool Leak detection in Holland Park (Brisbane)

This morning we attended to a reported leaking swimming pool and a house water leak at the same property in Holland Park . We first attended to the pool checking the pump filtration system including the multi port valve before inspecting and dye testing the skimmer box. We then pressure tested the concealed plumbing namely the suction, return, solar return and solar suction provision. All lines held pressure except for the solar suction line. As this line was not being used. We simply plugged this line avoiding the huge costs of locating and excavating through tiles and concrete. We then tested and replaced the hydrostatic valve as it was due for replacement. Finally we removed the recently installed lights and dye tested where the cable penetrates the shell.

We then moved on to the house leak, a water meter test revealed a leak of 654 litres per day, we located and isolated the water shut off valve to the house and rechecked the meter. The water meter stopped moving. We then inspected the services inside the house before locating a a leaking child’s toilet. We isolated the toilet and rechecked the water meter which was now not moving. Our client will engaged a maintenance plumber to resolve the leaking toilet.
A very happy client indeed.
