This morning we attended to conduct pool leak testing on a pebblecrete pool at Wynnum West. We tested the multi port valve on the sand filter before noting the pump union was dripping under load at the sand filter, we replaced the o ring and thread taped the union to find it secure. We then inspected and dye tested the light fittings, skimmer box and return jets before hydrophone testing all the above mentioned penetrations as well as the main drain including hydrostatic valve. We then pressure tested the concealed plumbing which confirmed both the return lines and suction lines are currently secure. We then entered the pool removing both light fittings and dye testing where the cable penetrates the shell. We then inspected and dye tested the skimmer face, inside the return jets before testing and replacing the hydrostatic valve. Finally an in pool examination of the pebblecrete walls and floors noting two areas of the pool had horizontal cracking which were dye tested. Our client was briefed along the way.
