This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Greenbank. The water level was at the bottom of the skimmer box. We pressure tested the concealed plumbing namely the suction, return, solar suction provision and solar return provision. The return line was not hold pressure. We discussed cost effective options with our client which included plugging the return line and re running the return into the solar return jet. Our client was happy with this option as it would save excavation under concrete and associated repair costs. We hydrophone and dye tested all the penetrations before entering the pool and swapped over the hydrostatic valve. Our client was going to re run the plumbing himself.
