10 May Swimming pool leak detection and repaired (cracked main drain) in Ormiston
This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Ormiston, we noted the water level was in line with one of the lowest return jets meaning the pool was only 1/3 full. We pressure tested the return line which held pressure. We then used a hydrophone microphone to test the main drain, the sound of running water was heard. We then entered the pool and inspected the main drain which was cracked and previously repaired, we dye tested which showed dye escaping, we applied an epoxy putty bead all the way around the drain before replacing the hydrostatic valve and re dye testing to find it secure.
