We recently attended to reported leaking fibreglass pool in Shailer Park, we tested the pump filtration under load before inspecting and dye testing the skimmer box and return jets. We then used a hydrophone microphone to test the main drain and hydrostatic valve, two lights, skimmer box, polaris line and solar suction lines. We then entered the pool and inspected and replaced the hydrostatic valve before re dye testing the valve. We inspected the valve noting the bottom o ring was missing. We then removed both light fittings and dye tested where the cable penetrates the shell.
We noted one of the light cables was leaking as dye was seen escaping around the cable into the shell. We applied epoxy putty around both light fittings before re dye testing to find it secure.
