We then attended to a reported leaking concrete pool in Chapel Hill, our client was confident the leak was in the main drain given the recent rain event. We checked the multi port valve on the sand filter noted it was leaking to waste when the pump was operating in filter mode. We supplied and installed an in line shut off valve to the waste line. We then used a hydrophone microphone to check the main drain before entering the pool and inspected the main drain, we noted the main drain was plugged and the hydrostatic valve top o ring was protruding. We removed and replaced the 50 mm hydrostatic valve before re dye testing the drain.
