This morning we attended to a reported pool prime issue in Helensvale, we noted the pool pump basket and chlorinator cell was not fully primed , we noted some damaged 3 way valves and an old cartridge filter and the chlorinator cell which was dripping water. We re adjusted the fittings and shut off the spa line. We retested to find we now had full prime. We connected up the pool cleaner and lost prime. We then pressure tested all the concealed plumbing to find the spa and return lines were secure , however the suction line from the skimmer box back to the pump was not secure. Air was seen bubbling away at the newly laid concrete joins close to the skimmer box. We detailed our observations as well as completing a written report with options which include referring to another contractor who may be able to do a NO DIG reline of the pipe. Our client was onsite and briefed along the way.
