This morning we travelled up to Bray Park to a reported leaking in ground pebblecrete pool. We tested the multi port valve and the pump filtration system under load before inspecting and dye testing the skimmer box. We then used our hydrophone microphone to test the main drain/hydrostatic valve, light return jets , solar suction and solar return jets. We then pressure tested all the concealed plumbing before entering the pool and inspecting the main drain and hydrostatic valve. The drain was completely full of rocks and debris, after cleaning out the drain we discovered a small rock wedging open the valve. We removed the valve cleaned away all the debris before installing a new valve before re dye testing to find it secure. Finally we dye tested the skimmer face inside all pipe work and removing and inspecting the light fitting especially where the cable penetrates the shell.
