This morning we attended to a reported swimming pool leak in Helensvale, we inspected the multi port valve noting an in line shut off valve to waste was installed. We hydrophoned microphoned the main drain which indicated a possible leak site. We entered the pool and dye tested the main drain/hydrostatic valve before removing and replacing the hydrostatic valve. We re dye tested to find it now secure. We then inspected the skimmer box and the waterline tiles checking for any cracks or imperfections. Further inspection of the hydrostatic valve showed the o ring has failed allowing water to escaping down the main drain.
