We then attended to a reported leaking fibreglass pool in Birkdale, after obtaining back ground information we tested the multi port valve and inspected and dye tested the skimmer box and return jets. We then pressure tested the concealed plumbing namely the suction and return lines which both held pressure. We then used a hydrophone microphone to test all the penetrations which included the main drain and hydrostatic valve. We entered the pool and replaced the original hydrostatic noting some loose silicone around the valves base. We installed a new hydrostatic valve and then re dye tested noting it was leaking where the valve meets the fibreglass base. We applied a epoxy putty bead and re dye tested to find it now secure. We then inspected the skimmer box face from in the pool and noted the skimmer flap was leaking badly into the pivot point. We removed the flap and puttied over the hole and re dye tested to find it now secure. A pensioner discount was applied to our elderly client.
