Concealed water leak detection and repair on acreage property in Birkdale

Yesterday we attended to a reported water leak on acreage property in Birkdale. A water meter test revealed a water leak of 10800 litres per day. A pressure test failed. We noted water coming out of a number of cracks in the in the concrete driveway. We traced the line and introduced compressed air before finding the general location. We removed a section of the concrete drive using a quickcut saw to locate a failed 25 mm poly pipe. We excavated a prepared the site before we a licensed plumber completed the repair. We tested the repair then the whole line to find the line now secure. We cleaned the site as per our clients instructions. We encouraged our client to contact his house insurer and assisted him to seek a rebate of some of the water charges caused by the concealed leak.
