Swimming pool leak detection & repair in Albany Creek

Swimming pool leak detection & repair in Albany Creek

This morning we attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Albany Creek. We tested the pump filtration under load before inspecting and dye testing the skimmer and noticed a crack in the skimmer box wall which was drawing dye. We puttied over the crack. Then at our clients request we pressure tested the concealed plumbing and hydrophoned and dye tested the skimmer box, return jets, main drain and hydrostatic valve. We then entered the pool replacing the hydrostatic valve before conducting an examination of the pools walls and floor. We noticed a wide crack measuring 1.20 metres long on the wall of the pool. We dye tested the crack before applying an epoxy bead as a preventative measure going forward.
