We then attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Middle Park. We tested the multi port valve before dye testing both skimmer boxes, 4 x return jets and the light. We then used a hydrophone microphone to test all the penetrations. Noted at one of the skimmer boxes dye was escaping and the sound of running water was heard. As such we then pressure tested both skimmer boxes to confirm the suspect skimmer box was not holding pressure , we conducted further testing before excavating adjacent to the skimmer to locate a failed 50mm pressure pipe 90 degree been had cracked. We prepared the site for our client’s plumber to attend and complete the repair. We then tested the return line which held pressure. A really good outcome for our client.
