Swimming pool leak detection and repair in Greenbank

We then attended to a reported leaking inground pebblecrete pool in Greenbank. We first tested the mulitport valve noting a slight drip under load as well as weep from under the multiport valve and from the chlorinator cell. We then inspected and dye tested the skimmer box . We then used a hydrophone microphone checking all the penetrations noting a loud sound was heard in one of the return jets. We then pressure tested all the concealed plumbing starting with the return line which failed to hold pressure. The sound of water was heard bubbling away from behind the previous referred return jet. We did note one of the other return jets had been plugged. We then tested the remainder of the concealed plumbing namely the solar in provision , solar out provision and suction line all of which held pressure. We then phoned our client advising him of our findings and gave him some options going forward. We recommended which was accepted to plug off the return line totally and re run the return line into the solar suction provision which is 100% much more cost effective way forward for our client. We completed the reconfiguring of the plumbing , entered the pool and replaced the hydrostatic valve as it had not been replaced in 15 years before dye testing the light fitting and skimmer. We ensured all was working prior to our departure then met the client and updated him accordingly.
