We then travelled to a reported swimming pool leak in Paddington. We checked the multiport valve, then inspected the skimmer box , noting two cracks. We then pressure tested the suction and return concealed plumbing noting the return line was not holding pressure after numerous attempts. We did identify a return fitting at the pump had come loose. We re glued the fitting but the return line still did not hold pressure. We then used a hydrophone microphone checking the skimmer box, return jets, light and main drain. We then entered the pool and dye tested all the penetrations, we removed the light fitting and checked the electrical cable and applied an epoxy putty bead where it penetrates the pool shell. We puttied over the cracks in the skimmer box before dye testing the main drain including the hydrostatic valve before replacing the hydrostatic valve.
We then briefed out client of our findings before completing a report with some options going forward
