This morning we attended to a reported leaking shower in a unit in Tenneriffe. We first conducted a water meter test on the water supply, then pressure test the cold then hot lines. We then conducted a shower breach test, then a flood dye shower base. test. We then removed and conducted a flood test test over the mixer cover plate, then the soap holder and the noted gaps in the grout. These tests realised the soap holder which penetrated the tiles and membrane was leaking . Dampness was seen under the carpet on the adjoining wall. We applied a bead of silicone around the holder as a temporary measure going forward. Our client was very relieved in deed thinking a bathroom renovation was required.
