We then attended to a reported leaking pebblecrete pool in Capalaba Our clients only having just moved in 6 weeks earlier realised their pool was leaking. We tested the multiport valve and dye tested the skimmer box. We pressure tested the suction and return lines both held pressure. We then used a hydrophone microphone to test the skimmer, 2 x lights, 2 x return jets, 2 x solar suction, 1 x solar return, main drain and hydrostatic valve. We then entered the pool and dye tested the hydrostatic valve, removing same noting it was new, re installed it back in position. We dye tested the light fittings. We then pressure tested the solar suction line which failed. A second test confirmed the same result. We supplied and inserted 2 x 40 mm flat internal plugs. This effectively shuts off the solar heating connected to the patio roof. We discussed options going forward with our client which includes locating and repairing the damaged section of the pipe to reinstate the solar heating.
