This morning we attended to a house leak in Carindale, a water meter test revealed a leak of 2618 litres per day. A pressure test failed, After tracing the line, we introduced compressed air and located the likely leak location at the front of the property near the concrete path. We excavated to find a failed 25 mm poly pipe located under the path. We excavated under the path before our licensed plumber completed the repair. We then tested the repair and the entire line to find it now secure. We advised our client to contact her insurance company which will cover the majority of our costs. We also assisted our client to make application through Urban Utilities in order to claim a rebate back for some of the water charges incurred by a concealed leak.
