House & Swimming Pool Leak Detection in Sunnybank (Brisbane, QLD)

This morning we attended to a reported house and swimming pool leak in Sunnybank. Our client noticed an increase in their water bills so we conducted a water meter test which revealed a leak of 360 litres per day. We then inspected all the water services inside the house to note the ensuite toilet was constantly running water into the pan. We attempted to shut the toilet water supply off without success. A leaking toilet can certainly loose that much water per day. Our best advice to our client is to arrange for the installation of a new toilet suite and new shut off tap. Then re check the water meter. The property had some impressive concrete in the driveway which is where the water supply is located under.

We then moved to their inground pebblecrete pool, we tested the multi port valve and dye and hydrophoned tested the skimmer box, return jets x 3, main drain and hydrostatic valve. As our client had only purchased the property a few years ago, we replaced the hydrostatic valve as a preventative measure going forward. We then conducted an in pool examination of the pools walls and floor looking for imperfections. We assisted in setting up of a bucket test to check the level of the water.
Our client was on site and briefed throughout.
