Today we attended to a leaking fibreglass pool in Woodend. We had been talking with our client for a number of days seeking feedback about the pool. We first noted the pool level was below the skimmer box and return jets and sitting slightly above the solar suction jets. We conducted an initial walk around the pool which discovered a crack in the fibreglass located on the second step. We dye tested the area which confirmed it was a leak source. We discussed options going forward with a client and a decision was made to place a water proof epoxy putty over the crack. This option is a quick remedy though the traditional repair is to patch the fibreglass which cannot be completed underwater. It is uncommon to see a crack of this size in a fibreglass pool.
