Concealed water leak detection and 2 repairs in Redland Bay

Yesterday afternoon we attended to a house leak in Redland Bay, our client had received high water bills for some time which raised her concern she had a leak. We conducted a water meter test which revealed a leak of around 1920 litres per day. A pressure test failed, After tracing the line, we introduced compressed air and tracer gas and identified the likely leak location at the side of the property under pavers. We excavated down to a before locating a failed 25 mm poly pipe joiner. Our licensed plumber completed the repair. We then tested the repair and the entire line to find the line still not secure. We repeated the process to locate a 2nd leak in a similiar area. We then completed that repair and tested the line again to still find the line Not secure. We conducted another water meter test which now indicated a leak of 526 litres per day. Given the lateness of the day. We packed up to arrange another day to re attend and locate the 3rd leak in the line. It is uncommon to find more the one leak in the line. Our client was on site throughout and was briefed as we progressed through the detection and repair. We supplied our client access to seek a rebate from their water provider of some of the water charges caused by the concealed leak.
