This morning we were called to a residential address in Greenslopes regarding a very high water consumption letter. Our client is in his 90’s.
We first checked the water meter and observed a water loss 443 litres per day. We then entered the house and noted both toilets to be running. Water was heard filling in the cistern, water was seen running into the pan. We isolated both toilets and then rechecked the water meter to find it now secure. We talked through our findings with the our client and his niece then contacted a maintenance plumber to attend and replace both cisterns. A small call out fee was charged.
