Underground concealed water leak detection and repair in Redbank Plains

Yesterday we attended to a house leak in Redbank Plains, a water meter test revealed a leak of 900 litres per day. A pressure test failed, After tracing the line, we introduced compressed air and identified the likely leak location under concrete near the pool pump.

We drilled a number of pilot holes before reintroducing water and air to further confirm the location before removing a 500mm x 500mm section of concrete to locate a failed 25 mm copper joiner. We further excavated so our licensed plumber to complete the repair.

We then tested the repair and the entire line to find it now secure. Our client had taken our earlier advice to contact his house insurer which in this case will cover some of our charges.

Finally we provided assistance for our client to make a claim for a water rebate from their water provider for some of the water charges caused by a concealed leak.
