Yesterday we attended to a pool leak in Yeronga. We first test the 5 way valve then started to pressure test the concealed plumbing. Our first test of the return line located a failed “T’ piece close to a return jet. Our licensed plumber completed the repair. We retested the line to find a further damaged section located close by but located in the wall of the concrete pool.

We discussed options going forward with our client and it was agreed as the most cost effective way going forward was to plug the return jet and by pass the damaged section of plumbing. We completed this before retesting the line again this time finding the line secure.

We then tested the other concealed plumbing then conducted an in pool examination of the many penetrations of the pool.

We noted a number of large structural cracks in the walls of the pool, we dye tested these to find them secure. we tested the lights return jets, solar in and out jets, main drain and hydrostatic valve. We replaced the hydrostatic valve as a precaution going forward.

We finished by walking through with our client the works completed and the issues identified.
