This morning we attended to a fibreglass swimming pool leak in Camira. We first noted a slight water leak at base of the cartridge filter. We pressure tested the suction and return lines which both held pressure over a 5 minute test. We then used our Leaktrac 2400 tested the integrity of the pools shell which gave an indication towards the light fitting. We then used our hydrophone microphone to test the skimmer box, return jet and hydrostatic valve which gave an indication towards the light fitting. Finally we entered the pool and dye tested the skimmer box, return jet, hydrostatic valve and light fitting which showed clearly the light fitting was cracked internally allowing dye to quickly escape confirming this as the leak source. We puttied the light fitting, re dye tested and replaced the hydrostatic valve as a preventative measure going forward. We showed our client the attached video. Then walked through the tests conducted.
