Leak detection and repair on acreage property at Capalaba

This morning we attended to a house leak on acreage property in Capalaba.

We conducted a water meter test which revealed a leak of 3323 litres per day or 1 litre every 26 secs.

We then conducted a pressure test which failed. After tracing the line of this large property we then introduced a combination of compressed air and tracer gas before finding the general vicinity of the leak under the bitumen driveway at the front of the property. Then the heavens opened up and rained us out.

We returned later the same day to remove a 600mm x 600mm section of bitumen before we excavated and reintroduced gas before finding the failed 25mm poly pipe at 900mm deep against a stormwater drain. Our licensed plumber completed the repair, before testing the line to find the line now secure.

We backfilled the trench , reinstated the bitumen section and cleaned up afterwards.

Finally we inspected the water meter with our client to confirm the water meter was NOW secure.

Our client posted a review stating “Trevor and Sam located, excavated and fixed a concealed leak at my place. Friendly and professional guys that got the job done quickly, fitting me into their busy schedule and around some less than ideal weather. Really appreciate it guys. Will use again and recommend to others.”
