Job at hand

This morning we attended to a house leak in Aspley, a water meter test revealed a leak of 2800 litres per day, a pressure test failed.

Symptoms

This property sloped from the road down to the house site which was paved and there was a lot of water coming up from different areas of the paving.

Process

We traced the line and after introducing a combination of air and tracer gas located the likely leak source under pavers near the swimming pool.

Repair

We carefully removed the pavers and excavated through the concrete base to locate a failed 32mm poly joiner.

Qualifications

Our licensed plumber repaired the section then and there.

Confirmation

We tested the line to now find it secure.

We cleaned up afterwards and assisted our client with an insurance claim and water rebate application from their water provider on some of the water charges caused by the concealed leak.

Trevor and Sam attended my property to detect and repair an underground water pipe leak. They were very professional and experienced with their work. They located the water leak under the concrete slab exactly where it was, using various radar tool and equipment. Once Sam identified the location of the possible leak, Trevor seconded it by doing his own verification. This allow them to neatly cut the concrete slab with precision, minimising any destructive work and damages. They replaced the faulty joints and retested the new connection with compressed air. They were also very meticulous in their work, testing and retesting several times to make sure there is no leak to the new joint, before backfilling it. Definitely gave me great confidence through the entire process, as their experience shows they know what they are doing. Well done guys. Great job!
