This afternoon we attended to a house leak on an acreage property in Samford Valley, our client first become aware of wetness on the lower lawn area, then received a high consumption notice from their water provider. A water meter test revealed a leak of 2400 litres per day at a cost of around $10 per day. We traced the line before finding the leak located under a rock retaining wall. We excavated to reveal a failed 25mm-32mm rural poly joiner. We capped the line as this was an irrigation line which was no longer used. A pressure test and water meter test shown to our client confirmed the line now was secure. We assisted our client to lodge a claim with their water provider for a rebate of the water charges caused by a concealed leak
