Recently we attended to a bathroom and ensuite leak detection in Alexandra Hills, We conducted a water meter and pressure test, then a shower breach test, drain test and simulated shower test before identifying in each shower a cracked/damaged tile which allowed water to escape into the adjoining rooms. A crack tile on its own should not allow the shower to leak as the waterproofing below should capture the water. This house was built in the 1980’s and as such the waterproofing membrane is compromised. We siliconed over both areas and gave our client some options going forward if this did not resolve the issue.
